Here is a recipe that I wanted to post from sometime, but kept postponing as I dint have good quality dark chocolate with me, the most essential ingredient for this recipe. It could also be substituted with dark chocolate compound, to get almost similar result, but nothing to beat the original for sure.

Couple of weeks back, my dear friend happened to ask me for a brownie recipe for her lo’s birthday party. N she was very specific abt her requirement of an eggless treat. So this seemed to be an apt option for the occasion.

So here’s a delicious Eggless chocolate brownie dedicated to all the brownie fans out there. 😀 😀 Also do try out brownie n butterscotch brownie bars recipe posted earlier.

Eggless chocolate brownie recipe

Prep time: 20 mins.; Cooking time: 35-40 mins.

Ingredients:

  • Dark Chocolate- 200 gms.
  • Unsalted butter – 70 gms.
  • All purpose flour – 120 gms.
  • Sugar – 60 gms.
  • Condensed milk – 100 gms.
  • Cocoa powder – 1 tbsp.
  • Water – 100 ml.
  • Yogurt – 50 gms.
  • Baking powder – 1/4 tsp.
  • Baking soda – 1/4 tsp.
  • Vanilla essence – 1 tsp.

Method:

      • Melt the chocolate, butter and sugar in a double boiler.
      • Once well combined, keep this aside and bring to room temperature.
      • Add condensed milk, water and yogurt to the chocolate mix.
      • Whisk till there are no lumps. You could also whip this using an electric beater to get a lumpfree base.
      • Sieve in the dry ingredients; flour, baking soda n powder, cocoa powder to the wet mix.
      • Whisk till there are no floury remains in the brownie batter.
      • Take a square cake tin, grease and dust thoroughly with cocoa powder.
      • Pour the brownie batter into the cake tin.
      • Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180C for 35-40 min./till a skewer inserted into the middle if the brownie comes out clean.
